TRIO Day is a day of celebration, reflection and action around increased access to higher education for disadvantaged students. Federal TRIO Programs help low-income and first-generation students enter college and earn a college degree.
On TRIO Day we honor TRIO participants, provide student leadership and professional development to TRIO staff, and Identify and work with a State of New Mexico legislator to sponsor the TRIO Day Proclamation.
The morning will be filled with student leadership and professional development at Santa Fe Community College. After lunch, we will transition to the NM State Capitol Building for the TRIO Day Ceremony in the Rotunda.
